Responsible for in-game character animation, using Kaydara Motion Builder to utilise mo-cap data as well as hand- animate in-game characters.

Learnt how to used Kaydara Motion Builder from scratch, then using it cleaned raw motion capture data and from this created In-game animation for video game. Also created new key-framed animation in Motion Builder for game.

Looked after gallery visitors and the exhibitions, as well as assisting visitors with ticketing and information enquiries.


3D Modeller and Texture Artist

October 2003 – November 2003(Made redundant when publisher pulled out.)

Responsible for the modelling and texturing of In-game cars for a Playstation 2 Racing Game, using 3DS Max and Photoshop. I also helped to design a mountain racing circuit “off-plan” as well as building and texturing it.

Along with the PR officer for the ACU, I helped to organise a successful charity motorcycle event in memory of Barry Sheene, which 10,000 people attended. My main roles were in gaining sponsorship and selling trade space at the event.

Responsible for the designing, modelling and texturing of multiple In-game environments and objects for several Playstation 2, Xbox, PC and Game Cube titles, using 3DS Max and Photoshop as well as specialised development tools. I also tested project management software and contributed to several game concepts which were pitched to potential publishers.

I created In-game racing cars and artwork for a Playstation racing game. I also was responsible for developing new modelling and texturing techniques. I assisted the FMV artists by making territorial adjustments to the FMVs and also adjusting the content to adhere to Sony’s guidelines. Along with a programmer, I successfully devised, developed and implemented all the In-game replays for the racing game.

I scanned/ digitised photographs from multiple sources, and using Photoshop, prepared them for print in a wide range of media publications.

 

I left school at age 16 in 1987 with virtually no qualifications, and between then and starting Further Education in 1991 I did a wide range of manual work.
